World Cup Qualifier: Nigeria more organized than Ghana – Ex-Black Stars player, Kingston makes honest confession
From Ogundele Olanrewaju
Former Ghanaian international, Laryea Kingston, has made an honest confession ahead of Ghana’s 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday night.
Kingston admitted that Nigeria is more organized than Ghana because the Black Stars recently sacked their coach and appointed Chris Hughton and Otto Addo to lead the national team.
According to him, the Super Eagles are more prepared for the match because Ghana’s technical coaching crew is focused on bringing in new players and ideas to the team.
“I am very happy with the current technical team because of their experiences,” Kingston told Ghanaian station, Joy Sports.
“I am not only keen on what this technical team can do against Nigeria in this playoff, I am looking forward to seeing them long term.”
He added, “To be honest and fair, Nigeria are more organized than Ghana.
“Nigeria is more prepared because we have people who are focused on bringing new guys and ideology to the team.”
The first leg will take place at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi tonight, while the second leg will be played at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Tuesday.
