The storming and killer disease COVID-19 has remain at the center focus of both public and intellectual discourse, and it’s ravaging effect remain notorious, and seemed beyond what the most imaginative person can predict.

In evaluating it’s damning consequence on youths economic participation, specifically the coping mechanism developed by the Nigerian youth on the face of economic turbulence, as well as their recovery goal in place of opportunities, aspirations, and attainment, Azeem Salako, a public affairs analyst and also Director at Caso Metropolitan College, Prince Adetayo Adekunle, a youth advocate and former member of Nigeria youths parliament, and Oyebode Oluwaseun, a mental health hub, will join other discussants to explore policy options for youth resilience in a multi-country study.

The workshop is sponsored by Partnership for African Social and Governance Research (PASGR) in collaboration with Mastercard Foundation. The theme is “Young Women and Men’s Aspirations and Resilience: Prospects for Livelihoods, Employment and Accountability before, during and beyond COVID – 19.”

As the Nigeria research team head, Dr. Babatunde Ojebuyi of the University of Ibadan would use the workshop to explain the research project to stakeholders, obtain their views on the research approach as well as identify and select stakeholders that will be critical for the project’s success.

The workshop will hold tomorrow, December 14, 2021, at Carlton Gate Exclusive Hotel, Ibadan, Oyo State, and will have the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, lead relevant stakeholders in government, development partners, scholars, the media and civil society organisations on the discourse.
