LACO Seeks Stronger Democratic Values in Lagos,Urges Stakeholders to Embrace Accountability

…Reaffirms commitment to equitable development

The Laja Adeoye Campaign Organization, LACO, has congratulated Lagosians on the occasion of Democracy Day, describing June 12 as a historic milestone in Nigeria’s democratic journey.

In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Ayodele Kazeem, the organization said the day serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by patriots who fought for democratic ideals and the right of citizens to freely choose their leaders.

LACO commended the resilience and commitment of Lagos residents to democratic principles, noting that democracy remains the most viable path to development, accountability, and prosperity.

The organization, speaking on behalf of the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, APM, Mr. Laja Adeoye, reaffirmed its commitment to building a Lagos where governance is people-oriented, resources are managed transparently, and development reaches all communities.

According to the statement, the APM remains committed to providing an alternative vision for the state through inclusive governance, economic empowerment, quality education, improved healthcare, enhanced security, infrastructure development, and social justice.

LACO also called on citizens and stakeholders to strengthen democratic values through active participation, accountability, respect for the rule of law, and responsible leadership.

The organization urged Lagosians to remain hopeful, united, and actively engaged in the democratic process, expressing confidence that collective efforts would help build a more prosperous and equitable Lagos State.
