Ebonyi State Bans House And Land Agents

Ebonyi State Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru reportedly announced that starting from 2026, house and land agents will no longer be allowed to operate in Ebonyi State.

The move is aimed at curbing rising rents, blaming agents for expl0iting residents by charging huge fees sometimes up to N500k over properties that are not even theirs.

From next year, no agent will be permitted to collect money from anyone seeking accommodation in the state.
