2027: APM Unveils Media Team for Bimbo Adekanmbi Campaign
…Oladoyinbo named spokesperson, Olanrewaju appointed co-director, Giwa-Onafuwa, Falade, others join publicity committee
The Bimbo Adekanmbi Governorship Campaign Council of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State has announced the appointment of members of its Media and Publicity Sub-Committee ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
In a statement dated September 26, 2026, the campaign council named Mr. Yinka Oladoyinbo as Director of Communication and Spokesperson, while Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju was appointed Co-Director and Spokesperson.
Others appointed as Deputy Directors are Ms. Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa, Mr. Dapo Falade, Mrs. Bosede Sodiq, Mr. Moses Alao and Mr. Fisayo Daramola.
According to the council, the appointments take immediate effect, with the newly constituted team expected to coordinate the campaign’s media and publicity activities.
Oladoyinbo, the newly appointed Director of Communication, is a Deputy Editor of the Nigerian Tribune and has 27 years of post-qualification experience in journalism.
He previously worked with Daily Trust and The Punch, serving as State Correspondent in Lagos, Ondo and Kogi states.
Oladoyinbo currently heads the Politics Desk of the Nigerian Tribune.
The campaign council also highlighted the media experience of Giwa-Onafuwa, describing her as a radio and television broadcast professional with over 16 years of experience in Nigeria’s media industry.
She holds a Master’s degree in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan and has twice served as a General Manager in the broadcast sector.
Falade, another member of the media team, has over 20 years of journalism experience and rose to the position of Deputy Editor at the Nigerian Tribune.
He covered political and regional affairs as State Correspondent in Ekiti and Rivers states and later served as Lead Senate Correspondent in Abuja.
The statement added that Falade founded Newscoven.com in May 2020, a digital news platform focused on journalism in the new media space.
The appointments form part of the campaign council’s preparations for the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.
