2027: APM Wave Will Spread Across Nigeria, Promises Jobs, Support for Businesses – Fagbemi
…Says Makinde’s “Reset Nigeria” agenda will tackle unemployment, hardship and declining economic opportunities
The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency, Hon. Akin Fagbemi, has expressed optimism that the party’s political influence will spread across Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Fagbemi stated this while speaking with journalists at the mega concert organised by the Boye Nation/JAF Movement, where he also spoke on what he described as growing support for the APM in Oyo State.
He said the turnout and atmosphere at the event demonstrated the growing acceptance of the party, adding that Oyo State had once again set the pace in political mobilisation.
According to him, the APM’s presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde, would take the party’s agenda to the national level in 2027, stressing that the political momentum being generated in Oyo State would spread across the country.
Fagbemi said the party’s proposed “Reset Nigeria” agenda was aimed at addressing the challenges confronting Nigerians, particularly unemployment, hardship and declining economic opportunities.
He said, “The people are suffering; the people are feeling pain. I understand that every one of us must put our hands on deck to ensure that Nigeria enjoys the dividends of democracy. Enough of this suffering. Enough of this pain.”
The APM candidate also promised that, if elected, he would work towards improving opportunities for young people, supporting market women and creating conditions that would enable more Nigerians to access education and employment.
He said market women should expect greater support for their businesses, while youths should benefit from increased employment opportunities and access to tertiary education.
Fagbemi further expressed confidence in the ability of the APM candidates to deliver what he described as meaningful development to Nigerians, naming Governor Seyi Makinde and the party’s Oyo State governorship candidate, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, among those he said would contribute to the process.
He added that his aspiration to represent Ibadan North-West/South-West Federal Constituency in the National Assembly was driven by his desire to contribute to improving the lives of constituents and Nigerians at large.
Fagbemi concluded by assuring Nigerians that the APM would work towards delivering what he described as greater dividends of democracy and a better future for the country.
