Nigeria’s New Ambassador to Austria, Florence Ajimobi Presents Letters of Credence to Austria President

Nigeria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Austria has formally assumed duty after presenting his Letters of Credence to the Federal President of Austria, Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen.

The Wife of the former Governor of Oyo state, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, Nigeria ambassador to Austria presented the diplomatic credentials to President Van der Bellen, marking the formal commencement of his assignment as Nigeria’s ambassador to Austria.

Speaking on the new assignment, Mrs Ajimobi expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in him, saying he accepted the responsibility with humility and a strong sense of duty to represent Nigeria with dignity and purpose.

She noted that Nigeria and Austria had enjoyed longstanding diplomatic relations, stressing that there were opportunities to further deepen bilateral cooperation in areas including trade and investment, innovation, sustainable development and people-to-people relations.

Mrs Florence Ajimobi said she looked forward to working with relevant stakeholders in both countries to open new frontiers of mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthen the existing bonds of friendship between Nigeria and Austria.

She pledged to give his best to the assignment and remain committed to advancing the interests of Nigeria and Nigerians with dedication and honour.
