Lagos 2027: APM Targets APC Stronghold, Inaugurates LG Executive

The Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Lagos State, Prince Laja Adeoye, has congratulated the newly inaugurated Local Government executives of the party, urging them to work diligently towards securing victory for the party in the 2027 governorship and presidential elections.

The statement was released and signed by the spokesman of the Laja Adeoye Campaign Organization (LACO), Mr. Ayodele Kazeem noting that the Lagos State gubernatorial candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Prince Adeoye called on party leaders and executives at all levels to remain committed to democratic principles and grassroots mobilization.

According to him, the party is focused on building a formidable structure from the ward level to challenge the dominance of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.

He said APM was determined to establish a strong grassroots network capable of out-organizing and defeating the APC through effective mobilization and closer engagement with the people.

The governorship candidate noted that the party had successfully elected a new State Executive Committee headed by Mrs. Bunmi Adeyemo as State Chairman, while Mr. Abiodun Abari emerged as State Secretary.

Mr. Ayodele Kazeem was elected State Spokesman, while Mrs. Aminat Sanusi became the State Woman Leader.

He also disclosed that executive committees had been inaugurated across the 20 Local Government Areas of Lagos State, with Mr. Olanrewaju Lateef Ayinde serving as Chairman of the Forum of Local Government Chairmen.

Adeoye added that the party had established functional executive structures across wards in the state, describing the development as a major step towards positioning APM as a strong opposition force ahead of the 2027 elections.

The APM flagbearer charged the newly inaugurated executives to focus on party development, intensive grassroots campaigns, and disciplined service, expressing confidence that Lagos residents would embrace the party’s vision for governance.

He highlighted the party’s development blueprint, “Atunto Eko 1.0, “The Reset Lagos Agenda,” which he said outlines plans for transforming Lagos into a world-class megacity through inclusive economic growth, improved infrastructure, quality healthcare, education, job creation, and efficient public services.

Adeoye further called on party stakeholders, leaders, and supporters across the state to rally behind the new executives at the local government and ward levels to strengthen the party’s structures and enhance its chances of electoral success in 2027.
