Okanlomo Oodua, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi Hosts Alagooja, HRM Oba Abdulganiyu Ajiboye Busari Arogundade II

The Okanlomo Oodua and Bada Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, on Monday hosted the Alagooja of Ago Oja Kingdom, Oba Abdulganiyu Ajiboye Busari Arogundade II, during a courtesy visit held at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Ibadan.

Speaking during the visit, Kabiyesi Alagooja appreciated Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi for his outstanding philanthropic gestures and remarkable contributions towards the development of Yorubaland and humanity at large.

Oba Arogundade disclosed that his visit was also informed by the consistent efforts of Chief Sanusi in attracting investors and promoting economic development across communities in Oduduwa land.

The monarch expressed his desire to see transformational investments such as the gigantic Ilaji Resort replicated in Ago Oja Kingdom for the benefit of the people and economic growth of the area.

Kabiyesi further charged Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi to help him once again appreciate Seyi Makinde, particularly for restoring the lost glory of Ago Oja Kingdom after over 270 years through the official recognition and crowning of the Alagooja stool by the Oyo State Government.

In his remarks, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi congratulated His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulganiyu Ajiboye Busari Arogundade II, on his official crowning and recognition by the Oyo State Government.

The Okanlomo Oodua reaffirmed his commitment to the continuous development of Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole through investments, empowerment initiatives, and community-based projects capable of uplifting the people.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Ago Oja Palace Working Committee and former member of the House of Representatives, Chief Akinrogun Oluwasegun Taiwo, on behalf of Kabiyesi Alagooja and his entire team, expressed profound appreciation to Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi for the warm and befitting reception accorded to them during the visit.

Chief Akinrogun Segun Taiwo offered prayers for the Okanlomo Oodua, saying, “Tojọ tẹ́nú ilé alákàn kí gbé,” meaning may he never fall or experience disgrace, while praying that Almighty Allah continues to strengthen and uplift him in all his endeavours.

“Once again, you are highly appreciated for your hospitality and unwavering support for humanity and Yoruba development,” he added.

Members of the entourage of HRM Oba Abdulganiyu Ajiboye Busari Arogundade II included former member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Ago Oja Central Working Committee, Chief Akinrogun Oluwasegun Taiwo; the Committee Secretary, Comrade Aiyelaagbe; palace member and secretary, Mr. Gbenga Oluokun; and Hon. Sheriff Ajiboye, among other dignitaries.
