Oyo Police Deploy Officers to Secure 2026 JAMB Exercise

The Oyo State Police Command has announced the deployment of comprehensive security measures across the state ahead of the 2026 examination organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).

This was in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, the Commissioner of Police directed that adequate security be provided at all Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres to ensure a safe, orderly, and hitch-free exercise for candidates.

The command also disclosed that enhanced visibility policing has been activated across major roads, communities, and other strategic locations.

Officers on stop-and-search duties have been instructed to remain professional and courteous while ensuring candidates and commuters travel without unnecessary delays.According to the statement, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and other supervisory officers have been tasked with maintaining security within their jurisdictions to prevent any form of disruption before, during, and after the examination.

The police command reassured residents, candidates, parents, and guardians of its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, while urging the public to support security agencies with timely and credible information.It also wished all candidates success in the examination and advised them to remain law-abiding throughout the exercise.
