Lagos LG Elections: Laja Adeoye Donates N2 Million to PDP

Prince Laja Adeoye, former House of Representatives hopeful under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has donated N2 million to support the party’s candidates in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government ahead of the forthcoming local council election.

The Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) has announced that the election will hold on July 12, 2025, covering 20 local governments, 37 LCDAs, and 376 wards.

According to Adeoye’s Special Adviser on General Duties, Mr. Yusuf Fadeyi, the donation aims to support the party’s candidates in their quest for victory. Adeoye urged other party stakeholders to assist the candidates, emphasizing the importance of collective effort.

Adeoye noted that, the party’s candidates needs all the assistance they can get at this time, and that the election is winnable by the Lagos PDP if all hands can be mobilized across the Local Government in the State.

Adelaja called on other party stakeholders across PDP Lagos, to assist candidates as the Council elections is very near. We cannot leave this task to them alone, and this is the reason I am soliciting with men and women with means to help our candidates in Lagos.

Party members also have a greater role to play during the campaign, and election proper, to dedicate their time and effort so that we can emerge victorious at the polls.

Adeoye expressed confidence in the party’s prospects, citing the effort of leaders like Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State in uniting the party in South West and Nigeria at large, urging all party members to shun any act capable of causing rancor. He assured party members that stakeholders are working tirelessly to ensure PDP’s resurgence across the region and the country.
