Qatar 2022 FIFA World: UfitFly Counsels Nigerians Over Fake Hayya Card (Fan ID)

Nigeria’s destination management company, Ufitfly has advised Nigerian Soccer fans that will be traveling to Qatar for the FIFA World Cup to comply with rules & regulations of the host country and be wary of fake agents portraying the special World Cup Visa called Hayya Card as work permit to swindle.

A statement issued and signed by the head of Human Resources department of Ufitfly, Adetuji Ademola explained that the counsel was based on the letter sent to major tour brokers and stakeholders by the Nigerian embassy in Qatar under the leadership of the His Excellency, Ambassador Yakubu Abdullahi Ahmed.

“The embassy wishes to state unequivocally that the special world cup Visa called Hayya card and entry permit cannot and will not be changed or transferred to work permit. Nigerians should therefore not fall victim to unscrupulous elements spreading fake news in that regard to rip off innocent Nigerians.

“The embassy also strongly advise that Nigerian fans traveling for the soccer fiesta should endevours to obey and respect the law of the host country while in Qatar and ensure that they comply with all the relevant guidelines and requirements for the visiting fans before embarking on the trip”, the statement reads in part.

It will b recalled that Ufitfly has in the 2020 sponsored some sports journalists from the

Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State, (BCOS) to the FIFA Club World Cup held in Qatar, which placed the firm in a good position to counsel the sporting press about the dos and don’ts during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Good disposition of Ufitfly towards the sporting press has earned the firm top awards of recognitions from the Sports Writers Associations of Nigeria (SWAN), and many institutions saddled with regulation of the Sports, Tourism and Hospitality industry.
