Barring last minute change of mind, three serving senators, four members of house of representatives, other APC stalwarts have perfected plans to break away from Governor Abdullahi Ganduje-controlled APC in Kano state.

National Daily news learnt on good authority from the camp of one of the former governors that, piqued by what they described as high-handedness of the Abdullahi Abbas-led APC, the heavyweight lawmakers have teamed up against the status quo.

According to a source, a midnight meeting was summoned at the residence of one of the former governors in Abuja to map out plans on how to checkmate the perceived excesses of Mr Abbas.

Also on the card, is an idea of organising a parallel congress on Saturday to create serious division in the ruling party in the state.

A source privy to the details of the meeting told this newspaper that among their grievances include alleged hijack of the recently concluded local government congresses.

This newspaper also learnt that the second meeting would be held again soon.

The three Kano senators are Kabiru Gaya (APC-Kano South), Ibrahim Shekarau (APC-Kano Central) and Barau Jibrin (APC-Kano North).

The members, led by the chairman House Committee on Security, Sha’aban Sharada (APC-Kano Municipal), are Tijjani Jobe (APC-Dawakin Tofa/Tofa/Rimingado); Haruna Dederi (APC-Karaye/Rogo) and; Nasiru Auduwa (APC-Gabasawa/Gezawa).
