2023: Adeojo urges political appointees, party stakeholders to mobilise support for Makinde’s re-election bid
The Chairman of the Ido Local Government Area, Hon. Sheriff Adeojo, has called on all political appointees serving under the current government to work for the reelection of Governor ‘Seyi Makinde.
Adeojo, in a statement personally signed on Thursday, made the call, noting that the governor deserves to be reelected as a result of his unprecedented achievements in the state.
The Council Boss added that stakeholders at all levels including the Councillors, Supervisory Councillors, Special Assistants should make it a point of duty to mobilise their teeming supporters to come out en masse on March 11 and vote for the governor and all the candidates of the House of Assembly.
His statement read in part:
“Without mincing words, I am sure that stakeholders within the party are not happy with the just concluded presidential election, which made us lose all the senatorial seats and a big number of reps seats in the National Assembly.
“Having said that, I want to use this opportunity to urge the party stakeholders to let bygones be bygones and embrace peace. I believe that what we will still gain is beyond what we have lost in the past.
“Therefore, I want to call on everyone, to sheath their sword and mobilise their teeming supporters to engage in door-to-door campaign ahead of the gubernatorial election and vote for our governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde to be reelected for second term as well as other PDP House of Assembly candidates.”
