Congress: Oyo PDP Set Up 11member As Makinde Pays For Nomination Form Of Contestants

Oyo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party on Monday announces the setting up of an 11man member committee as Local Organizing Committee for its forthcoming congresses.
This is as the party also disclose the readiness of Governor Seyi Makinde to purchase nomination forms for all the candidates at the 2021 party congresses at all levels in the state.
The decisions were communicated at the end of the State party’s caucus meeting which held at Oyo State Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.
Although the party did not indicate who chairs the committee, it gave the names of the approved members to include: Dr. Saka Balogun, Hon Oluyemi Taiwo, Speaker Debo Ogundoyin and Alhaja Bose Adedibu.
Others are Hamid Gbadamosi, Chief Bayo Lawal, Mr Kunmi Mustapha, Wasiu Adeleke, Senator Hosea Agboola, Maruuf Atilola and Micheal Ogunsina.
A four paragraph communiue issued at the end of the meeting and signed by the State Chairman who also doubles as the Conveners, Kunmi Mustapha reads:
“The Entire Caucus appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for purchasing all the nomination forms for Oyo State 2021 Party Congresses at all levels.
“The entire Caucus reiterated their commitment to a rancor free, peaceful and a united congress where every necessary stakeholder will be carried along.
“The entire Caucus of the Oyo State PDP accepted the Nominations of Dr. Saka Balogun, Hon Oluyemi Taiwo, Rt. Hon Debo Ogundoyin, Alhaja Bose Adedibu, Alhaji Hamid Gbadamosi, Chief Bayo Lawal, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Senator Hosea Agboola, Rt. Hon Maruuf Atilola and Micheal Ogunsina as the Oyo State 2021 Local Organizing Committee for the congress.
“The entire Oyo State PDP Caucus reaffirms their believe and trust in the leadership of Engr. Seyi Makinde as the leader of PDP in Oyo State.”
The meeting was attended by the party members including serving and former political office holders, top government functionaries among others.
The Southwest Zonal Chairman, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and a former Minister of Sate for the FCT, Jumoke Akinjide sent in apologies while some aggrieved members such as Femi Babalola, Adebisi Olopoenia, among others were also not at the meeting.
