NLC Oyo State Council Commends The Successful Rescue Of The Abducted Pupils, Teachers, And Driver in Oriire Local Govt

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Oyo State Council, warmly welcomes the successful rescue of the 39 pupils, teachers, and the school driver who were abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

We express our profound gratitude to the security agencies, the Oyo State Government, local authorities, and everyone whose commitment, professionalism, and collaboration made the safe rescue of the victims possible. Their dedication has restored hope to the affected families and brought relief to the entire people of Oyo State.

The Council also commends the courage and resilience demonstrated by the rescued pupils, teachers, and driver throughout the unfortunate ordeal. We pray for their speedy physical and psychological recovery.

While celebrating this successful rescue, the NLC, Oyo State Council, calls on all security agencies and relevant stakeholders to strengthen intelligence gathering and proactive security measures to prevent a recurrence of such incidents. Schools and other public institutions must remain safe environments where learning and productive activities can take place without fear.
