2027: APM Picks Adekanmbi as Oyo Governorship Flagbearer

…As Makinde urges candidate to chart independent path for development of the state

Allied People’s Movement (APM) has announced and affirmed Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi, as the party’s Oyo State Governorship candidate in 2027 General Election.

The APM Oyo State, Chairman, Adegbenro Fagbemi, made the announcement at the party’s Governorship primary election exercise held at an event centre in Ibadan.

The consensus candidate, Mr. Adekanmbi, in his acceptance speech declared his campaign a continuation of a movement that would restored hope and dignity to governance.

Mr. Adekanmbi who described the event as history speaking and destiny unfolding saying it marks the next phase of a progressive agenda already delivering results in Oyo State under Governor Seyi Makinde.

He assured that his administration would prioritize education, healthcare, agriculture, tourism, technology, commerce, and especially security of lives and property.

Calling for a united front he urged all aspirants, candidates, and supporters to work together, campaign together, strategize together, and ultimately govern together for the benefit of the people.

In his remark, the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, charged the Governorship candidate to not inherit his enemies but rather chart his own path and improve on anything that could benefit people of Oyo State.

Party’s andidates for Senatorial, House of Representatives, state Assembly were also announced and affirmed at the event that had in attendance leadership of coalition party, PDP, INEC representation, lawmakers and political gladiators.
