…Describes Makinde as courageous, compassionate and visionary leader
Amb. (Dr.) Adedipe Dauda Ewenla, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Southwest Ex-Officio, has reaffirmed that Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, remains a committed member of the PDP and one of the most respected political leaders in Southwest Nigeria.
Ewenla stated this while speaking on the growing political understanding and alliance between the PDP and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), noting that Governor Makinde possesses the leadership capacity, political maturity, and administrative experience required to lead Nigeria at the highest level if presented with the opportunity under any progressive coalition platform.
According to him, Governor Makinde has distinguished himself as one of the most outstanding governors in Nigeria through people-oriented governance, infrastructural development, transparency, and economic reforms in Oyo State.
He noted that the Makinde administration has transformed the state through the construction and rehabilitation of roads, bridges, and urban renewal projects aimed at improving transportation, commerce, and economic activities across the state.
Ewenla also commended the governor’s economic policies, which he said have strengthened the state’s financial stability, encouraged investments, and supported agricultural and local business development.
Speaking on education, he said the administration has continued to improve learning standards through recruitment of teachers, school renovations, and reforms targeted at expanding access to quality education.
He further praised Governor Makinde’s commitment to workers’ welfare, stressing that the consistent payment of salaries and pensions without delay has restored confidence among civil servants and retirees in the state.
The PDP chieftain described Governor Makinde as a courageous, visionary, and compassionate leader whose style of governance has earned him admiration beyond the Southwest region.
Ewenla added that regardless of political ambitions or future contests, he remains committed to supporting visionary leadership, good governance, and policies that prioritize the welfare and development of the people.
He maintained that leadership should be centered on service, competence, accountability, and development, qualities he said Governor Makinde has consistently demonstrated in office.
