LACO, PDP-APM Coalition Unite Behind Makinde’s 2027 Aspiration

…Urges Nigerians to join Reset Nigeria Movement

The Lagos State coalition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has declared full support for the “Reset Nigeria Movement” recently unveiled by Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The coalition, operating under the Laja Campaign Organisation (LACO), announced its alignment with the movement in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Otunba Sikiru Alebiosu.

According to the statement, the alliance adopted a new political identity known as the “Reset Lagos Movement, Atunto Eko 1.0,” aimed at promoting inclusive prosperity, improved security, and shared economic growth in Lagos State.

The group said the decision followed Governor Makinde’s declaration of his presidential ambition under the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) and the unveiling of the Reset Nigeria agenda during a political gathering at Mapo Hall in Ibadan, Oyo State.

LACO described the alignment as more than a symbolic gesture, noting that it reflected a shared commitment to democratic governance and people-oriented leadership.

The organisation praised Governor Makinde’s administration in Oyo State, citing achievements in infrastructure development, agriculture, security, and youth empowerment as evidence of his leadership capacity.

It expressed confidence that the same governance model could be replicated at the national level to address Nigeria’s economic and security challenges.

The coalition also formally endorsed Makinde’s presidential ambition, describing him as a competent and credible leader capable of repositioning the country. As part of its commitment, the Lagos PDP-APM alliance said it would mobilise support across wards, local governments, and senatorial districts in Lagos State to secure widespread votes for Makinde in the 2027 presidential election.

The group further called on Nigerians to support the Reset Nigeria Movement, urging citizens dissatisfied with the current state of the country to embrace what it described as a new vision for national rebirth and inclusive development.

LACO also urged Lagos residents to support its governorship candidate, Laja Adeoye, in the next Lagos State governorship election.
