Lagos 2027: Laja Adeoye Makes Strategic Move to APM

In a smart and forward-looking decision, Lagos PDP Governorship Candidate Laja Adeoye has formally joined the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) to keep the momentum strong towards 2027.

This move is not a rejection of the PDP family, but a pragmatic step to avoid being trapped in the ongoing internal leadership challenges and court cases that have slowed things down.

Laja and his team remain in very warm and collaborative relations with the PDP structure across Lagos.

The focus is simple, deliver results for the people without unnecessary distractions.His campaign office put it clearly:“We have adopted the APM platform to stay focused. There is too much work ahead for Lagos in 2027.

This move perfectly aligns with the strategic leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, the powerhouse of opposition politics in the South-West.

Importantly, Laja Adeoye had already emerged as the consensus Governorship candidate of the Lagos PDP.

That mandate has now been transferred smoothly to the APM, with the full, enthusiastic backing of the PDP family.

Lagos PDP Chairman, Dr. Amos Fawole, confirmed the strong working relationship, the PDP has entered a strategic alliance with the APM. All candidates, Governorship, Senatorial, House of Representatives, and State Assembly, will contest under the APM banner.

This ensures they are not shut out by INEC timelines while the PDP continues to resolve its internal matters.
