Accord Guber Aspirant, Oriyomi Hamzat Holds Closed-Door Meeting with Prince Ibrahim Asanike

A frontline governorship aspirant in Oyo State and popular Ibadan-based radio presenter, Mr. Oriyomi Hamzat, over the weekend held a closed-door meeting with Prince Ibrahim Oloyede Asawale Asanike at his office in Ibadan.

Though details of the meeting remain sketchy, but sources suggest it may be linked to Prince Asanike’s political ambitions.

Prince Asanike, son of the most popular late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Yesufu Oloyede Asanike 1st, is reportedly considering a political run.

Oriyomi Hamzat, a leading figure in the Accord Party, had recently declared his governorship ambition at Adamasigba Stadium.

There are indications that Prince Asanike, following the meeting, may be on his way to joining the Accord Party to contest for a position.

However, efforts by our correspondent to reach Prince Asanike for comments were unsuccessful, as calls to him after the meeting went unanswered.
