He’s a leading example of young, visionary leadership – Olatunji felicitates Oyo Speaker on birthday
The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, has expressed birthday felicitations to the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, describing him as a shining example of youthful, visionary leadership in public service.
In a statement on Tuesday, Olatunji commended the Speaker for what he called his steady hand, calm temperament and progressive outlook in steering the affairs of the Assembly since assuming office in 2019 as the youngest Speaker in Nigeria.
The council boss noted that Ogundoyin’s emergence as Speaker at a relatively young age signaled a new chapter for legislative leadership not only in Oyo State but Nigeria as a whole.
He added that the Speaker has continued to justify the confidence reposed in him by both lawmakers and the people.
“Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin represents a generation of leaders who combine energy with experience and vision with responsibility.
“His style of leadership has not only strengthened but transformed the legislature at the sub national level as a critical arm of government and deepened democratic governance in our dear state,” Olatunji said.
He praised the Speaker’s commitment to harmonious working relationships with the executive arm and effective oversight role on local government administration, stressing that such cooperation has contributed significantly to the steady pace of development across the state.
Olatunji further acknowledged Ogundoyin’s role in promoting youth inclusion in governance, describing him as a source of inspiration to many young Nigerians who aspire to make meaningful impact in public life.
“As he marks another year, we celebrate not just his age but the milestones recorded under his watch. His dedication to service, openness to dialogue and passion for growth continue to stand him out,” the chairman added.
He prayed for renewed strength, wisdom and sound health for the Speaker, expressing confidence that the coming years would usher in greater accomplishments for both the lawmaker and the state at large.
