NPFL: Oyo govt optimistic of 3SC’s readiness for the NPFL season

Oyo State government has shown her optimism that the Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC is ready for the new challenge awaiting them at the Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL season 2021/2022 as they held the reigning champions to a stalemate
The Commissioner for youth and sports development, Seun Fakorede who made the remark at the Lekan Salami stadium after the Oluyole warriors played one-one draw with Akwa United, was impressed with the team’s performance adding that it indicated that the team have the potential to improve
He also commends the sportsmanship of the football lovers in the state, who filled the newly remodelled Lekan Salami stadium to the capacity, described it as a needed support to help the 2 times Nigeria league champions excel again
Responding, 3SC Coach, Edith Agoye who could not hide his joyful mood for the team’s gradual adaption to new life at the NPFL after spending few years at the division two, assured Oyo State government and the people that the coaching crew and the team would do everything possible to stabilize as soon as possible, in order to get desired and positive results
Earlier, the reigning champions, Akwa United’s coach, Kennedy Boboye, while expressing his disappointment for the team failure to secured the targeted three points, commended the Oluyole warriors’ performance
3SC that scored the equalizer at the 90minutes of the game to put a big smile on the face of its fans and making it two points from 2 matched played so far, would be heading to Markurdi to face Lobi Stars on the march day 3
