Makinde@54: Your Life Epitomizes Traits Of Jesus Christ As The Reason For The Season – Oyo PDP Celebrate State Gov

The Oyo State chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has showered praises on the state Governor and leader of the party, Seyi Makinde on the auspicious occasion of his 54th birthday which coincided with the day, December 25, when Christians across the world celebrate Christmas.
Christmas according to the ruling party in Oyo state is a special season worldwide that symbolizes a period of love, care, giving, sharing and advocating for peace saying that the person and character of the state Governor are a reflection of traits of Jesus Christ who the party said is the only reason for the season.
A press statement by the state Publicity Secretary of the party, Akeem Olatunji on December 24 and made available to newsmen indicated that Makinde’s lifestyle and approach to governance has proved that truly, there can still be a true prophet of true gospel and an ambassador of peace, love, and truth, especially within a political landscape that is characterized by personal interests as against public good.
According to the statement, PDP in Oyo state, and Nigeria by extension, has been blessed beyond measures with the singular fact of having Governor Makinde at the helms of affairs especially at a critical time state resources are becoming even more scarce to meet the needs of people in other states.
The ruling party stressed that the atmosphere of tranquility and peace that permeate the state is an evidence of divine ordination by God according to His timing to send a Biblical Moses to save the Israelites from their slave masters in Egypt through selflessness, dedication, commitment, and hardwork towards total emancipation from slavery into freedom.
“There’s absolutely no gainsaying that Oyo state is blessed with one special man who is fulfilling the purpose of destiny in the history of our dear state through selflessness, dedication, commitment, and hardwork that has continued to yield results that were hitherto, perceived in some quarters to be impossible.
“Without mincing words, Governor Makinde is indeed a proof of the Biblical verse that says when a righteous man rules, the people rejoice. The work of governance is synonymous to the work of the gospel because they are both about service to humanity but the temptation of the throne has led many especially in the past to the journey of political perdition because they strayed from fulfilling the purpose of collective destiny.
“Governor Makinde as our overall party leader in Oyo state and entire southwest Nigeria has through his purposeful leadership rekindled our hope in a more prosperous Oyo state where a child of nobody can rise to the peak of his or her aspirations and become important somebody to many people.
“On the occasion of His Excellency’s glorious birthday which coincided with Christmas which is used to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ worldwide, we as the ruling party in Oyo state wish to join our hearts with millions of others in Nigeria and the world at large to celebrate a true democrat and selfless leader who has continued to bring nothing short of laughter and joy to the people of the state through various people-centered policies since assumption of office as the Executive Governor of Oyo state.
“It is indeed our earnest prayer and desire as a party and as a people that your political ministry of reviving dead hopes, creating equal access to prosperity within the state for people to freely aspire to become their dreamed persons, continue to blossom and expand beyond your first and second term of office by the end of year 2027 so that the world may know that there’s a God Sent Man who can rescue not only Oyo state from total collapse but also rescue Nigeria from it’s present quagmire.” The statement said.
The ruling party however, assured that PDP in the state will redouble its efforts in defense of good governance under the leadership of Seyi Makinde stressing that Oyo state is already on a clear path to its promised land noting that any attempt from any quarter to return it to Egypt will be adequately resisted and rejected by the people who have since been redeemed back into light after what the party describe as eight years of darkness and modern day slavery under the last administration.
