Nigerian Army Urges Officers to Utilise Skills Acquired for Professionalism

Nigerian Army has charged the Military cadre to ensure they put all the training acquired during their training to practice while engaging in their various responsibilities and in their different unit and formation for a society secured.

The charge was made by the Chief of Army training, Major General, Sanni Mohammed, represented by Brigadier General Ibrahim Bindul during the closing of 2 Division Operations Planning Cadre 2023, held in headquarters of 2division Nigerian Army, Adekunle Fajuyi cantonment, Odogbo, Ibadan.

Mohammed implored the participants to apply all they have learnt in their day-to-day planning operations and activities towards a collective vision of having a very secure area of responsibility in Oyo and other states cover by 2division Nigerian Army.

He further said that he expect all the participants to be able to develop tactical level operation plans from their higher commanders directive and to collaborate with other stakeholders to upgrade the country approach to fighting security challenges.

He averred that “And so I want this participants to appreciate yourself with a round of applause, so to a large extent the objective of the training has been achieved and for those that are here please make sure that the system benefit from the training that you have received and the only way the system will benefit from this training is if you put all that you have learned to practice while doing your various responsibilities in your different unit and formation.

“For our colleagues also in our sister security agencies, we want to say welcome and we are happy that you are part of this training.

“We want to urge you to use this same thing have learnt here, even though it is a military planning tools but it can also be apply in the day-to-day planning of your own operation and activities towards a collective vision of having a very secure area of responsibility in Oyo state and other state that cover by this division.

“Please convey our warm regards and appreciation to your various organizations, your heads and tell them we are happy that they released you to attend this very important cadre.

“Now for all of you the participants, we expect you to be able to develop tactical level operation plans from higher commanders directive and to liase with various stakeholders which is one of the things you learned from this training on inter-agency cooperation and upgrade of nation approach to fighting security challenges.

“We also expect you to atleast have an idea of the resources that are allocated in various training as you have also cut a gleam of logistics planning package.

In his vote of thanks, Brigadier General Yunus Zubair, expressed his appreciation to the Nigerian Army and all other security agencies for their support in making the training Cadre possible.

He further thanks, “On behalf of the organizing committee for the operation planning cadre 2023, 2 Division, i want to express our appreciation to the Nigerian Army, all the sisters services that are here present.

“All those who have made this cadre possible and to all members of my committee, I want to say a big thank you for putting in all the effort and commitment to ensuring that this training week that we are having has come to a great success, I want to thank you all.

“On the same note, I will like to extend our gratitude to the general officer commanding, particularly major general B.A Alabi who have always been supporting of our initiatives and standards during the duration of this cadre.

“He encouraged us to strive for excellence and I want to believe that we have been able to achieve to a certain extent.

“His unwavering support has been instrumental to the success of this cadre because if the resources are not provided there is nothing we can do, he said.
