‘Touch Olubadan, Face Resistance’ —Igboho Warns

…As Yoruba nation agitator cautions against move to remove Ladoja

Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has warned that Oyo State could face unrest if any attempt is made to remove the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, from the throne.

Igboho gave the warning in a video clip shared by a local media platform, on Friday, amid earlier allegations of a plot to dethrone the monarch.

He warned that any governor who attempted to remove Ladoja would face resistance, insisting that the monarch’s position should not be threatened.
“They will declare a state of emergency. If any governor tries it, it is from Soka here that this state would be shaking,” he said.

Igboho questioned why anyone would contemplate removing the monarch, stressing that the Olubadan was an indigene of the state and deserved respect.

“Why will you remove Olubadan? All of us are from Oyo State,” he added.
The agitator also reacted to claims that there were plans to waylay or ambush the monarch, saying such talk should not go beyond rumour. He maintained that Ladoja should not be targeted, either at home or elsewhere.
