Olubadan Celebrates Dotun Sanusi @ 58, Hails His Humility, Contributions to Ibadan
The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has congratulated the Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, on his 58th birthday, describing him as a successful businessman whose love for humanity is matched by his humility.
Oba Ladoja, in a congratulatory message issued by his Media Aide, Adeola Oloko, on June 17, 2026, commended Sanusi for his business ingenuity and contributions to the development of Ibadanland, particularly through investments in tourism, education and youth empowerment.
The monarch noted that Sanusi had transformed Ilaji and its surrounding community in Akanran, Ibadan, from an area previously associated with criminal activities into a major tourism destination, creating economic opportunities and livelihoods for many residents.
He also praised the businessman’s investment in education, describing the ICAST, Elebu, Ibadan, as evidence of his commitment to providing quality education for young people and partnering with the state government to invest in Nigeria’s future.
According to the Olubadan, Sanusi’s business interests at home and abroad have not prevented him from investing in his community and promoting peace and development in Ibadanland.
Oba Ladoja further explained that Sanusi’s inclusion in the Olubadan Economic and Investment Committee was part of efforts to engage prominent entrepreneurs on strategies to revive businesses that had shut down in Ibadan and stimulate economic growth across the city.
While describing Sanusi’s numerous achievements as worthy of emulation, the monarch prayed for God’s blessings, good health and many more years for the celebrant.
Sanusi, who holds the traditional titles of Gbonka Olubadan and Okanlomo Oodua, was celebrated for his contributions to business development and community advancement in Ibadanland.
