Oyo NUJ Congratulates Dapo Falade, Olayinka Oladoyinbo on Appointments as Senior Special Assistants

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has congratulated two of its distinguished members, Comrades Dapo Falade and Olayinka Oladoyinbo, on their appointments as Senior Special Assistants on Information and Orientation to the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde.

In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman, Mr. Akeem Abas, and the Secretary, Temidayo Adu, the Council described the appointments as recognition of the wealth of experience, professionalism, and dedication which both journalists have demonstrated in their respective careers and contributions to society.

The Council noted that Comrade Dapo Falade and Comrade Olayinka Oladoyinbo have distinguished themselves through years of service to the journalism profession, expressing confidence that their wealth of experience in media practice and public communication would be valuable in their new roles.

According to the Council, the appointments also underscored the importance of professionals with strong communication backgrounds in public service, particularly at a time when effective information management, accountability and constructive engagement with the public remain essential to governance.

The NUJ Oyo State Council urged the two appointees to bring the same commitment, integrity and professionalism that have characterised their careers to their new assignments, while encouraging them to use their positions to promote effective communication and strengthen the relationship between government and the people.

The Council thanked the governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde for appointing journalists into his administration, assuring him of the goodwill and support of colleagues in the journalism profession.
