The Oyo State Government has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Waheed Akintola Olajide, describing the loss as both shocking and painful.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Acting Governor, Barrister Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal, extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Olajide and prayed to Allah (SWT) to grant his soul eternal rest.

Lawal described the late SSG as a patriotic and dedicated leader, who made significant contributions to the development of Oyo State during his tenure.

He added that the state would remain forever grateful for his service and commitment.
