Tinubu’s Touch Bearer Event at Ilaji Cancelled Over Road Condition Assessment
The Touch Bearer event earlier scheduled for August 31, 2026, at the Ilaji Hotel and Sports Centre, Ibadan, will no longer hold at the venue.
The organisers announced the cancellation of the event at the facility, citing an ongoing assessment of the condition of roads leading to the venue.
In a statement on Saturday, the Okanlomo Odua and Gbonka Olubadan, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, expressed appreciation to everyone who contributed their time, efforts and resources towards the preparation of the event.
The statement reads, “Due to the ongoing road condition assessment, the Touch Bearer event scheduled for 31st August will no longer hold at Ilaji Hotel and Sports Centre.”
He appreciated everyone who has contributed their time, effort, and resources towards putting the event together.
”Your support and commitment are deeply appreciated.”
He acknowledged the support and commitment of individuals and stakeholders involved in putting the event together, while noting that the decision was taken in view of the ongoing road condition assessment.
