APM Unveils Akin Fagbemi as IbadanNorthwest/Southwest House of Reps Candidate, Launches Massive Grassroots Mobilisation

…As Fagbemi pledges people-oriented representation while party leaders declare total support for his 2027 ambition.

The House of Representatives candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) for the Ibadan North West/Ibadan South West Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Akin Fagbemi, has commenced a thank-you tour of Ibadan North West Local Government following his emergence as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The event, held at the Ibadan North West Local Government Secretariat, Onireke, also witnessed the official presentation of Dr. Fagbemi to party faithful by the leadership of the APM.

Speaking at the gathering, the Chairman of Ibadan North West Local Government, Hon. Adepoju Abdulrahman, described the visit as a demonstration of responsible leadership, commending Dr. Fagbemi for returning to appreciate party members who supported his emergence.

He urged members to remain united and work towards the party’s success in the 2027 elections.

Also addressing the gathering, Oyo State APM Deputy Chairman, Hon. Abdulwasiu Adeleke, said the presentation confirmed the party’s unity behind its candidate, calling on members across the constituency to mobilise support ahead of the polls.

Similarly, the Chairman of APM in Ibadan North West, Hon. Fatola Kazeem, and the party’s State Secretary, Ademola Oke, described Dr. Fagbemi as a loyal and committed party member, expressing confidence in his ability to provide effective representation if elected.

The Executive Assistant to the Oyo State Governor on Inter-Party Affairs, Hon. Biodun Baruwa, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatubosun, the Senior Special Assistant on Igbo Community Affairs, Tallest Innocent, and party stakeholder, Dr. Remi Ayodele, also urged members to sustain the spirit of unity and support the party’s candidate.

In his remarks, Dr. Fagbemi expressed appreciation to party leaders and members for their confidence and support, pledging to provide accessible, effective and people-oriented representation if elected.

The highlight of the event was the official presentation of Dr. Fagbemi by the party leadership to members across the eleven wards of Ibadan North West Local Government, with a call on party faithful to remain united behind his candidature ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Dignitaries at the event are; Candidates of both State House Assembly, Hon. Shete and Hon. Gbolahan, former Special Assistant to Governor Seyi Makinde on Community Relations, Hon. Olufemi Josiah, and all other APM party stakeholders in both Ibadan Southwest/Ibadan Northwest.
