APM LG Chairmen Intensify Grassroots Mobilisation Ahead of 2027 Lagos Governorship Election

…As Party leaders pledge membership drive and voter mobilisation across all LGAs and LCDAs

The Lagos State Forum of Local Government Chairmen of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the party’s grassroots structures and intensifying membership recruitment and voter mobilisation ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The resolution was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the Forum’s strategic meeting held on Thursday in Lagos, where party leaders reviewed the progress of the APM and outlined strategies for electoral victory in the state.

The Forum said it would consolidate party structures across the 20 Local Government Areas and 37 Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), extending mobilisation efforts to wards and polling units to build what it described as a formidable grassroots-driven political movement.

The chairmen also commended the Lagos State APM governorship candidate, Prince Laja Adeoye, for his efforts in positioning the party as a credible political force in the state, expressing confidence in his capacity to deliver victory and provide good governance if elected.

The Forum further appreciated the party’s national leaders, including the APM Presidential Candidate, Engr. Seyi Makinde; Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed; and the National Chairman, Alhaji Yusuf Dantalle, for their continued support and strategic direction.

The group called on Lagos residents and leaders of opposition political parties, including members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), to align with the APM, assuring Lagosians that the party is prepared to offer a new beginning anchored on competence, integrity and people-centred governance in the 2027 elections.
