70th Birthday: Arapaja Celebrates Yeyeluwa Modinatu Adedibu, Hails Her Role as Political Anchor
The Interim National Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, has congratulated Alhaja Chief Yeyeluwa Modinatu Abosede Adedibu on her milestone 70th birthday anniversary.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, Ambassador Arapaja described the Yeyeluwa of Ibadanland as an exemplary matriarch whose life remains a beacon of grace, unity, and fortitude.
Arapaja noted that 18 years after the demise of her husband—the legendary strongman and “Garrison of Ibadan politics,” Alhaji Lamidi Ariyibi Adedibu—Alhaja Modinatu has remarkably sustained his towering political legacy.
He praised her for standing firmly as a dependable rallying point and a source of stability for several political leaders mentored by the late Adedibu during her lifetime.
“Alhaja Modinatu Adedibu has shown exceptional leadership by keeping Baba’s political family united. Her home remains open, and her guidance continues to shape the political landscape of Oyo State,” Arapaja remarked.
Beyond her political influence, the PDP gubernatorial candidate lauded the celebrant’s profound commitment to spiritual devotion and community welfare.
As the Agbesinga Adinni of Ibadanland, her passionate advocacy for the less privileged and her dedication to Islamic virtues have earned her widespread admiration.
Ambassador Arapaja prayed that Almighty Allah grants the Yeyeluwa robust health, peace of mind, and many more decades of impactful service to humanity.
