‘The Wind of Change Is Blowing’ — Adeoye Ahead of PDP-APM Rally

Leaders and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) are set to converge at the historic Mapo Hall in Ibadan on Thursday, May 14, 2026, for a major unity rally aimed at strengthening political collaboration and promoting national development.
The rally, organised under the leadership of Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, is expected to bring together political stakeholders, party faithful, and supporters from different political associations across the country.
Speaking ahead of the event, the APM Governorship Candidate in Lagos State, Laja Adeoye, described the gathering as “more than a rally,” saying it represents a strategic alliance focused on addressing the nation’s socio-economic and political challenges.
According to Adeoye, the unity rally is designed to foster partnerships that will promote good governance, accountability, economic revival, and improved living standards for Nigerians.He criticised the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing the party of subjecting Nigerians to hardship and hunger through poor governance.
“This gathering is a bold convergence of visionaries and patriotic Nigerians who are determined to rescue the nation and build a stronger, more prosperous, and inclusive Nigeria,” he said.
Adeoye noted that participants at the rally would reaffirm their commitment to collaborative leadership, transparent governance, job creation, infrastructure development, and security.
He added that the alliance would prioritise politics driven by service, unity, and national interest above personal ambition.
“The wind of positive change is blowing, and the time for national rebirth is now,” he stated, urging Nigerians to embrace unity and collective action for the country’s progress.
The event is expected to attract prominent political figures, party leaders, youth groups, and supporters from across the federation.
