Makinde Picks Ex-Ajimobi Commissioner Adekambi as Preferred Successor

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced former Commissioner for Finance under the late Abiola Ajimobi, Hon. Bimbo Adekambi, as his preferred successor.

The development was disclosed on Wednesday by the Public Relations Officer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, Hon. Michael Ogunshina, in a statement made available to National Daily News.

According to Ogunshina, Adekambi, who currently serves as Chairman of the Ladoke Akintola International Airport renovation committee, has earned the confidence of the governor.

Adekambi previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Oyo State Government and was once Commissioner for Finance during Ajimobi’s administration.

He officially joined the PDP shortly after Makinde secured his second-term victory in the 2023 general elections.
