Lagos 2027: PDP Rallies Support Across Grassroots As Campaign of Laja Adeoye gains traction with policy-driven agenda

The campaign for the 2027 Lagos State governorship election is gathering momentum, as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) steps up activities across the state.

Leading the charge is PDP governorship aspirant, Laja Adeoye, whose campaign team says it is expanding its reach through grassroots mobilization in all 20 Local Government Areas and 245 wards.

According to the campaign organization, the initiative involves engagement with party leaders, community stakeholders, women groups, and youth organizations, aimed at strengthening party structures ahead of the election.

The campaign has also introduced what it describes as the “Better Lagos Agenda, Àtunto Èkó 1.0,” focusing on key areas such as affordable housing, job creation, improved security, healthcare, education, and infrastructure development.

Some Local Government Areas, including Lagos Mainland and Ikeja, have already commenced campaign activities, with reports indicating that more areas are expected to follow.

Political analysts say the renewed efforts signal an attempt by the PDP to reposition itself in Lagos State, where the All Progressives Congress (APC) has maintained political dominance for years.

Observers also note that the party appears to be rebuilding its internal structure, with increased coordination and participation at the grassroots level.

While the PDP expresses confidence in its chances, political watchers say the coming months will be crucial in determining how the evolving campaign landscape shapes the 2027 governorship contest.

The campaign team maintains that its focus remains on presenting policy-driven solutions and offering voters an alternative vision for governance in Lagos State.
