The Executive Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State, Engr. Akeem Olatunji, has been honoured with the Distinguished Support for Education Award by Lead City University.

The award was in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of education and youth development, particularly at the grassroots.

The award was presented on Tuesday at the institution’s campus in Ibadan by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Kabiru Aderemi, who commended the council boss for his commitment to initiatives that promote learning opportunities and educational development at the grassroots.

Aderemi noted that Olatunji’s consistent support for programmes aimed at improving access to education and empowering young people informed the university’s decision to honour him.
