Globacom Partners Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board to Enhance Communication Across Health Facilities

Telecommunications giant Globacom Nigeria has entered into a strategic partnership with the Oyo State Hospitals’ Management Board (OYSHMB) to provide seamless communication solutions aimed at improving service delivery across all state-owned health facilities.
The partnership was announced during a courtesy visit by the Globacom Enterprise Sales team to the management of OYSHMB in Ibadan. The initiative seeks to strengthen communication channels among medical personnel, hospital administrators, and key stakeholders within the Oyo State health sector.
In his opening remarks, the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Akin Fagbemi, commended Globacom for its commitment to supporting public institutions through innovative communication technologies. He described Globacom as one of Nigeria’s leading indigenous service providers dedicated to enhancing connectivity nationwide.
“This partnership comes at a crucial time when the nation is facing security challenges, terrorism, and other social issues,” Dr. Fagbemi said. “We appreciate Globacom for extending this great opportunity to our board, as it will go a long way in ensuring sustainable healthcare delivery in Oyo State.”
Dr. Fagbemi also urged Globacom to extend its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to the state’s hospitals through projects such as the renovation of wards and theatre rooms, donation of hospital equipment, and the provision of ambulances.
Speaking on behalf of Globacom, the Divisional Head (South West), Enterprise Sales, Mr. Adewale Adiatu, praised the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, FNSE, for his unwavering commitment to transforming the healthcare sector in the state.
Mr. Adiatu highlighted Globacom’s plans to introduce a toll-free complaint line that will be managed by a designated desk officer to facilitate prompt feedback and improve coordination within the health system.
“Effective communication has been proven to make life easier and better across the globe,” he stated. “We believe this initiative will significantly enhance service delivery and operational efficiency within the Oyo State healthcare system.”
