Multi-million Naira Properties Destruction: UCH Guest House Management Demands Attention To Petitions

Following the destruction of properties worth millions of naira when a caterpillar accompanied by armed military men stormed the ten units of
shops constructed at University College Hospital (UCH) Guest House Ibadan, by yet to ascertain authority on Friday, 10th of June, the partner in-charge of the properties has queried why the petition written to demand justice was ignored.


The UCH Guest House’s management which is under the auspices of De Executive Suites that is owned by a business mogul and traditional leader, HRH Olatunde Oginni JP has issued a press statement, demanding for justice on how many petitions written to appropriate authorities
were not attended to.


According to the statement signed by Oba Oginni and made available to newsmen in Ibadan demanded why the Nigerian Army authority is yet to take a decision after formally received a complaint against Major Banire, the Commander of Oyo State Operation Burst who led his men to
destroy the properties via the petition.


“This is a case of gross misuse of power by some people in position of authority, and a gross violation our fundamental human right, by
coming to destroy a multi millions naira worth properties without any court order or valid court judgment by either the management of the
UCH that had concession the guest house to us or the military that accompanied the caterpillar for destruction”.


“We have written to many important offices which includes the 2 Division of the Nigerian Army, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ibadan,
office of the Chief of Army Staff, Nigerian army Headquarters Abuja, office of the Chief Medical Director, University College Hospital, (UCH), Ibadan, Office of the Chairman Senate Security Committee, Abuja, and many other relevant authorities and yet we are yet to get justice”, the statement reads in part.
