… As European-American University Adds Another Honourary Doctorate Degree To Her Cap

n a Continent like Africa where best brains, who are adding values to the Society, are seldomly honoured and celebrated, there are still a few, who can never be ignored, considering their evergreen impacts that would linger on from generations to generations.

One of such individuals is a virtuous woman, philanthropist, entrepreneur, and job creator for the teeming unemployed in Nigeria.

A woman who has been doing much in the promotion and empowerment of Women, youths, less privileged and sponsoring of children’s education as well as giving employment to thousands of youths in the Country.

It will not be out of place if she is referred to as a golden fish in the ocean, a shinning light, a silent helper, who has put smile on the faces of thousands in the society. She is no other person than Dr. Yeye Afolashade Shona, the Chief Executive Officer, DLA Toys and Amusement Parks, Lagos and AVO Pizza Fabulous, Arepo, Ogun State.

Yeye Shona has lifted many people from grass to grace, from nobody to somebody, nothing to something and her words when being appreciated for her good deeds have always been “Olorun ni ka máa dúpẹ́ fun” (It is God that we should thank”).

As a result of all her efforts at making life more meaningful to other people, she is being noticed by Local, National and International Organizations and recommended for Awards and Recognitions.

Dr Yeye Afolashade Shona has dedicated all the Awards received to God, her husband who she always refers to as “Kabiyesi”, Engr. (Dr.) Victor O. Aluko and All Women, particularly the Association of Female Artisans Worldwide, AOFAW, who are contributing immensely to human capital development in the Country.

In addition to the feathers in her cap, the Entrepreneur and Philanthropist, Yeye Afolashade Shona was Awarded another prestigious Honourary Doctorate Degree from the European-American University at a well attended Event in Lagos State.

The 3-in-1 Event held at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos State was anchored by a prominent Entertainer, Doyin Kukoyi, with Presentation of two other Awards from the The Institute of Chartered Administrators and Researchers of Nigeria; and Africa Security Watch Awards.

While presenting the Awards to Dr Yeye Afolashade Shona and her husband, Engr(Dr) Victor O. Aluko, the Director-General, Institute of Chartered Administrators of Nigeria, Professor Dominic Opara said, the honour was in recognition of her various outstanding contributions to the Society as being observed and really appreciated by all relevant stakeholders both at home and at the International level.

He maintained that, there was the need to acknowledge the excellent achievements of Dr. Shona for being outstanding in Leadership, Humanitarian Services, Entrepreneurship, Hospitality, Education and support for advancement of Women as well as humanity in general.

Responding, Dr. Yeye Afolashade Shona who could not hide her feelings for humanity said, God created human beings for one another, in terms of support, upliftment and making the environment a peaceful place to be for all.

Dr. Shona maintained that, she could not have done all the noticeable achievements being monitored and recorded by the Organisers without the help of God, hence, she gave God the glory for the enablement, saying she would continue to contribute her best to human capital development in the best interest of the Country.

She commended her husband for giving her the opportunity to maximize her potential and for the invaluable support she has received and still receiving from her husband, Engr(Dr) Victor O. Aluko.

Dr. Shona also appreciated members of the Association of Female Artisans Worldwide, AOFAW, led by the National President, Dr. Jumoke Aborode from all over the Country for coming to share the joy of the Evening of Honour with her and her family.

It would be recalled that Dr. Yeye Afolashade Shona had earlier been Conferred with Honourary Doctorate Degree by the Kingdom Life University, Florida, United States of America and many other Awards.
