Former House of Representatives member, Hon. Shina Peller, has announced his intention to contest for the Senator representing Oyo North Senatorial District in the 2027 General Election.

Peller, who previously represented Iwajowa/Kajola/Iseyin constituency, made the declaration, signaling his determination to take on the challenge.

The former lawmaker had contested for the Oyo North Senatorial seat in the 2023 General Election under the Accord Party but lost to Abdul-Fatai Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Peller’s decision to throw his hat into the ring again has generated interest in the political circles.
