LG Poll: PDP flags off campaign in Akinyele

…calls for support for aspiring candidates at poll

The Peoples Democratic Party, Akinyele Local Government has flagged off it campaign ahead of April 27th Local Government council Election.

The event was held at Akinyele roundabout, moniya, Akinyele local government, Ibadan, Oyo state.

While Speaking with supporters and the people of the local government, Oyo state governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde who was represented by one of the PDP chieftains in Akinyele and Lagelu Federal Constituency, Benedict Akika said that the present administration in the state has shown that PDP has taken over the state with the infrastructural development relatively enjoyed by the people which has given the party an edge over its opposition in the state.

He, however, appealed to the people of the state to make sure they vote for all the party candidates at the forthcoming local government election that would be coming up on April 27.

Governor Makinde charged the people of the state to come and and vote enmasse and promised the people that their vote will count at the poll.

In his goodwill message, Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Matters who double as One of the leaders of PDP in Akinyele and Lagelu Federal constituency, Hon. Segun Olayiwola said that from the administration of former governor of Oyo state, Kolapo Ishola, Akinyele Local Government has been worthy of emulation and assured that the people of the local government will vote for the party candidate including all the twelve Councilors in Akinyele Local government.

He further said that with the achievement of Governor makinde, the party will contest at the forthcoming local government election and assured the victory of the party at the poll.

In his goodwill message, The Special Adviser to Governor Makinde on Federal Constituency matters who also doubles as one of the party leaders in the state, Comrade Dare Adeleke commended Governor Makinde for his unprecedented achievements in the state.

He called on the people of the local government and Oyo State to come out enmasse and vote for all PDP candidates at the poll.

Adeleke described the party candidate in Akinyele Local government, Hon. Wole Akinleye as a lover of the masses and ready to complement the efforts of the state government in giving out the dividends of democracy to the people.

In his remark, Candidate for the chairmanship position of the Local government, Hon. Wole Akinleye promised to empower more of youths and invest more in Farmers in the Local government if voted as the chairman.

He admonished all voters in Akinyele Local government to come out and vote for him during the election of Local Government in April 27.

The local government election in Oyo State will be coming up on the 27th of April and chairman Oyo state Electoral Commission, Aare Isiaka Olagunju has promised all the parties involved in the election of free and fair poll.
