NTA Reporter, Ayomiku emerges Oyo SWAN Chairman

Mr Ajibola Ayomikun of the Nigerian Television Authority, NTA has emerged Chairman of the Sport Writer Association of Nigeria oyo state chapter with a landslide victory against his opponent from the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, Mr. Remi Koleoso.

The election which was keenly contested at the Oyo State chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Iyaganku, Ibadan, saw Mr. Ayomiku emerging with 36 votes to beat Mr. Koleoso who got 7 votes.

In his victory speech, Mr. Ayomiku extended his appreciation to all members of SWAN in the state for their trust and support.

He promised to work assiduously to uphold the values and standard of Sport Writer Association of Nigeria.

Comrade Ayomikun further assured of the commitment of the current executive to work with ethical, accurate and impactful to move the union forward in the state.

He promised to work and collaborate with all members of SWAN in the state to raise the profile of the association and to promote it to highest standard of journalism.

“I want to thank you all for your support and trust, and I promise to work tirelessly to uphold the values and standards of this organization.

“I believe that sports journalism has a crucial role to play in our society, and I am committed to ensuring that our work is ethical, accurate, and impactful.
