Be more Friendly to Your Patients, Oyo health commissioner Charges Medical Personnel

Oyo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Oluwaserimi Ajetunmobi, charged medical Personnel in Government Hospitals across the State to desist from being hostile to their patients but be more friendly.

The Commissioner stated this during her visit to General Hospitals in Ibadan less city and Oke – Ogun area of Oyo state.

The commissioner revealed that there have been numerous cases of non challant attitudes of health workers in the State which have resulted in critical cases and concern for the safety of individuals.

She explained that the state government will continue to provide necessary support and resources needed at health facilities for the benefit of citizens and residents of the state.

She added that treatment, drugs, and services are available at in all the Primary health care centres and General Hospitals in the state at low and no cost.

The commissioner revealed that there have been numerous cases of non challant attitudes of health workers in the state.

Ajetunmobi added that the plight of Governor Makinde is to ensure that the entire residents of the state benefit from good governance.

She admonished the Philanthropists, most, especially in Oke Ogun to collaborate with the government in improving on the healthcare delivery.

She advised Medical Practitioners to take responsibilities for their health and safety by taking necessary precautions when dealing with patients with communicable and non-communicable diseases.

Earlier, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. kehinde Ayinde, advised medical personnel to take caution when dealing with patients. He enjoined them to report any unlawful act to the ministry as early as possible.

In his remark, Director , Health Planning Research and Statistics, Dr .Abass Gbolahan, urged people of the state to key into the Oyo state health insurance scheme for qualitative health care services at low cost.

The Health Facilities visited are General hospital, Iseyin; Primary Health Care Centre, Ijaye Orile; Primary Health Care Centre, Moniya and General Hospital Moniya, Ibadan.
