The Oluodo of Odo-Ijesha in Atakunmosa East Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba Olufemi Olayinka, on Sunday, rejoiced with his people in the ancient town, President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on the celebration of 63rd Independence of Nigeria as a sovereign state.
Oba Olayinka, in a statement signed by Rotimi Agboluaje, said attaining over six decades of nationhood is not a mean feat.
The traditional leader, therefore, said the day is worthy of celebration considering how far the country has come.
The natural ruler said: “The Palace of the Oluodo , on this historic and historical occasion, salutes the enterprising people of Odo-Ijesha on this 63rd independence anniversary.
“The struggle for independence was not an easy one but our founding fathers prevailed. As our forebears and founding fathers prevailed, beyond a shadow of doubt, we shall emerge victorious over any challenges.
‘’It is gratifying to inform my people that our march towards a prosperous, progressive and peaceful Odo-Ijesha has just begun.
‘’The future is pregnant with limitless opportunities and good tidings. We have what it takes to be great – human and natural resources.
“Greatness is on the horizon. We can make our community great. We can build the town of our dreams. Let’s come together to chart a new path for Odo’s greatness.
“A prosperous, progressive and peaceful Odo is possible, achievable and attainable. Your support is pivotal to achieve the much-desired greatness.

The monarch also congratulated President Bola Tinubu on the auspicious day, canvassing support for the president to succeed in the onerous tasks of nation building.
Again, Oba Olayinka sent a heart-warming congratulatory message to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State.
The royal father said: “ Very importantly, the Palace wants to congratulate the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR as well as Governor Ademola Adeleke of our dear state on this important milestone of the most populous African nation.
‘’I urge my enterprising people and Nigerians to give unparalleled support and offer prayers for the success of the two leaders as they pilot the affairs of the country and the state to a safe harbour and enviable height’’.
