Popular Yoruba Actor, Murphy Afolabi is Dead

Popular Yoruba actor and director, Murphy Afolabi is dead.

He was 49 year of age.
According to a social media post by his colleague, Tunde Ola Yusuf, the actor died in the early hours of Sunday.
Though the cause of his death is still unknown, many of his colleagues have taken to their social media handles to mourn the loss of the talented thespian.

Murphy was born in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
He attended Ire Polytechnic, where he studied movie production, mass communications and Theatre Arts. It was gathered that he graduated 17 years ago.

His first film project was a movie titled ‘Ifa Olokun’. However, the spotlight was due to his role in movies like ‘Owowunmi,’ ‘Jimi Bendel’ and ‘Mafi Wonmi.’
Until his death, he featured in over 60 movies.
