‘Don’t offend Nigerians more’ -PDP cautions Keyamo over ASUU comments

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has cautioned the spokesperson of Tinubu’s Campaign Organization, Festus Keyamo over his recent comments on the lingering ASUU crisis saying his statement was the height of insensitivity by a wicked and inhumane government.

The party in a statement signed by Chief Sanya Atofarati, PDP Zonal Publicity Secretary on Sunday expressed dismay that the APC and Buhari-led administration had resulted to adding salt to the injuries of Nigerians particularly millions of innocent Nigerian university students whose future is being truncated by the callous closure of universities since the past six months.

According to him; “At a time any responsive and responsible government supposed to either throw in the towel or show remorse for gross incompetence by keeping the nation’s universities on lockdown for six months without any solution in sight, the same goverment has the effrontery to unleash further insults by asking Nigerians to be begging ASUU. For want of better statement, this is the height of insensitivity by a clueless, wicked and inhuman government.

“One may ask who is ASUU’s employers? Is it by appealing to ASUU the only solution government can offer after it failed to reach any meaningful agreement with the striking lecturers for the past 6 months?

“Keyamo should stop further stoking embers of disgusting provocation in his failed attempt to market a discredited administration whom, he claims cannot borrow to pay ASUU. But the same Buhari, his paymaster, shamelessly spent over N1b to buy vehicles for his brothers in Niger Republic!

The same Tinubu’s spokesperson revealed the hollowness of his principal’s plans for Nigeria with his statement that Tinubu has nothing new to offer Nigeria than Buhari legacy projects of poverty, insecurity, inflation, economic downturn and fuel scarcity”
