The Coach of the Shooting Stars football club of Ibadan who is popularly known as 3SC, Edith Agoye has declared that his team home win over Kwara United on Wednesday showed the team have the character to leave the relegation zone and compete with other league clubs on the Nigeria Professional Football League log.
The Oluyole Warriors gaffer was under pressure before today’s match after dropping points at home, and thedemise of their general manager Rasheed Balogun had further rubbed salt to their wounds.
Speaking to National Daily news after the match, Agoye said the win has geared the team character to surmount the team relegation battle.
“Twice we played at home and were a goal down and tried to draw the game. Today, we went down again and we came back – we won the game. Gradually, team character is being built, we were very happy today, otherwise the turn around we’ve been looking for would have been something else. We believe after today’s game things will change.”
