Gov Makinde charges judiciary on meritorious discharge of duties

Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde, has charged the state judicial service commission to continue with the meritorious process of examination and interviews for judicial position.
He state this on Monday, while presiding over the swearing-in of the newly appointed President of the state Customary Court of Appeal, Honorable Justice Mashud Akintunde Abass which was held at the executive council chamber of the governor’s office, Secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan.
Makinde, urged the new head of the state Customary Court of Appeal to make the administration of Criminal Justice Law more effective in the state.
He charged the newly appointed President of Customary Court of Appeal that “Let me urged the Oyo state judicial service commission to continue with the meritorious process of examination and interviews for judicial position”.
Governor makinde further noted that to ensure there is conducive environment for the judges, the state government has allocated funds that enable the government to renovate and rehabilitate the dilapidated infrastructure the f the judiciary and to ensure that court proceedings are held in a conducive atmosphere.
He further promised to continue to work closely with the judiciary to ensure that decisions supervise by the Judiciary service commission are fully implemented.
Makinde said that “On our part, we will continue to work closely with the judiciary to ensure that, when decisions are supervise by the Judiciary service commission fully implemented”.
In his address, the newly President of the Customary Court of Appeal, Honourable Justice Moshood Abass, promised to build upon the successes that his predecessor made in the past.
Justice Moshood Abass promised “my intention is to build upon the successes the other presidents has made in the past”.
had in attendance the deputy governor of Oyo state, engineer Rauf Olaniyan; secretary to the state government, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun; the chief judge of Oyo state, Justice Munta Abimbola, legal luminaries and other punching arms of the judiciary.
