OYRTMA rescues accident victims at Eleyele

The rescue operatives of Oyo State Road Traffic Maintenance Agency (OYRTMA), on Saturday morning, rescued the driver and some passengers involved in a road accident along Eleyele bridge in Ibadan, following a distress call from residents of the area that a trailer ran across the bridge and fell inside the Eleyele dam.

As of the time of filing this report, joint rescue operations at the scene of the accident are the police led by a DT charge of Eleyele division.

The accident occured at about 1:00 am, while two people injured had been rushed to the hospital.

Eye witnesses account alleged that the trailer ran into the dam and damaged the bridge guide.

The Executive Chairman of OYRTMA, Mogaji Akin Fagbemi, however, warned drivers of reckless driving behaviors.
